Cam Newton is impressive. He has a great attitude, wonderful stats, a dazzling smile and a warm personality. He's also so rich it makes us jealous. Admit it, friends. But something is missing. Somehow, Cam Newton still cannot win. For some reason, what he is doing is not good enough even though he's basically been a great football player. The truth is he cannot win enough games yet. Now, I know what you will say: "That is not necessarily his fault" as if he doesn't make his share of mistakes on and off the field. The truth is what is good enough for the world is not truly good enough.

We have to live for the win. The only way we can win is if we win for God. A lot of Christians talk about "some reward in Heaven we cannot see". And it's true. We cannot see that great Heavenly reward. But even all that is not good enough.

It seems like that question is asked to quickly in today's computer commercial empire NFL. I mean look at John Fox. Already people want his head and the guy has never been a bad coach. He just had a twelve and four season last year and fans want the Panthers to look at Bill Cowher who couldn't win a Superbowl in Pittsburgh until over a decade of head coaching. Fans after that same impressive twelve and four season want the Panthers to fire Jake Delhomme for....nobody.

Then you get the Dallas Cowboys who can't win without Tony Romo. At least that was the case last year. The guy led the offense to put up thirty points on the New York Giants after beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the fans want his head already claiming he sucks and this and that. It's only been two weeks people. Some guys get trapped in slumps. In fact...everybody does.

Michael Vick. Adam Jones. Donte Stallworth. Julius Peppers. Holdouts. Sellouts. Wipeouts. What's honestly the big deal about wasting talent on money? We look at it more from the angle of wasting money on talent too often. But guys get sucked in to a dangerous catastrophe of controversy and fear over what? They get complacent. They get bored. The hype is not enough. We don't understand why the hype was not enough. Because we need more. Something is royally missing in our lives. The money. The attention. It's not good enough. As a fan, they're not good enough for us. We call it out on stats or games. But the reality is is we're really disappointed that they fall short of inspiring us. Now comes the convicting part. Who have you inspired lately?
